MEL Composites developed an innovative vacuum infusion technique for these high-speed patrol boats intended for border control tasks in the Middle East.

The new infusion strategy not only produced a significant reduction in preparation time and the volume of consumable material waste, but also helped reduce total styrene emissions; in line with the company's commitment to environmental improvements.

MEL Composites defined the construction materials for the PVC foam and fiberglass sandwich laminate and also designed the infusion strategy that allowed the construction team to complete the infusion of 1,200 kg of resin in just 60 minutes.
