MEL COMPOSITES AND ARESA SHIPYARDS EXCEED LIMITS WITH A COMPREHENSIVE “TURNKEY” SOLUTION OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE BLACK FALCON V2.0

MEL Composites, a leading Spanish supplier of materials and engineering for marine composites, collaborates with ARESA Shipyards in the development of the Black Falcon V2.0, a high-speed interceptor vessel of 15.2 meters equipped with four Yamaha engines of 450 HP and capable of exceeding 65 knots.

The project represents an evolution of the V1.0 model, incorporating improvements in performance, system integration, and structural efficiency, with capacity for up to 17 people in operational configuration.

Complete solution of materials and technical support
MEL Composites has supplied a comprehensive package of materials, including machined PVC Aircell cores, fiberglass fabrics, vinylester resins, vacuum consumables, and equipment for the infusion process.

In addition, it has provided complete technical support in laminate preparation, defining the infusion process, and on-site assistance during the manufacturing of the hull with integrated internal structure.

Engineering for high naval performance
ARESA Shipyards, with over 60 years of experience in high-performance shipbuilding, is a benchmark in military and defense vessels. The Black Falcon V2.0 continues this trajectory, incorporating advanced composite materials and infusion processes to achieve a lightweight, rigid, and resilient structure in extreme conditions.

MEL Composites is currently overseeing the production of the hull, with sea trials scheduled for late 2025, consolidating an optimized solution for high-demand operations.
“ARESA specializes in high-performance vessels for extremely demanding clients. For the Black Falcon V2.0, we have optimized composite materials to achieve an exceptional balance between performance, durability, and structural reliability.”
