BODEGAS LOPEZ DE HEREDIA PAVILION, TONDONIA VINEYARD

STRUCTURE OF THE BODEGAS LOPEZ DE HEREDIA PAVILION. TONDONIA VINEYARD

When renowned winemaker Lopez de Heredia moved their Zaha Hadid designed exhibition pavilion to their Vina Tondonia winery, the interior space became too hot for customer tastings. MEL Composites provided a composite insulation solution, and the pavilion has been the perfect temperature for wine tasting ever since.

HIGH SPEED PATROL BOATS

HIGH SPEED PATROL BOATS

MEL Composites developed an innovative vacuum infusion technique for these high-speed patrol boats for border control tasks in the Middle East.

The new infusion strategy not only produced a significant reduction in the preparation time and volume of consumable material waste, it also helped to reduce overall styrene emissions; in line with the company’s commitment to environmental improvements.

MEL Composites defined the construction materials for the PVC foam and fibreglass sandwich laminate and also designed the infusion strategy that allowed the build team to complete the infusion of 1,200 kg of resin in just 60 minutes.

ATLETICO DEL MADRID STADIUM: WANDA METROPOLITAN

The impressive roof of the Wanda Metropolitano – the home ground of Atletico Madrid – features a lightweight composite rain gutter which was manufactured with materials supplied by MEL Composites.

Surrounding the entire roof of the stadium, the composite gutter helps evacuate rainwater and keeps spectators dry in case of bad weather. Composites keep the structure both lightweight and strong as well making it easier to install. A final benefit is the hardwearing nature and resistance to environmental conditions, which minimises the maintenance requirements.
