{"id":5125,"date":"2023-04-10T21:48:34","date_gmt":"2023-04-10T21:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/melcomposites.es\/?post_type=project&#038;p=5125"},"modified":"2026-04-29T15:51:48","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T13:51:48","slug":"nanotures-mel-composites-winners-of-jec-awards-2023","status":"publish","type":"proyecto","link":"https:\/\/melcomposites.es\/en\/project\/nanotures-mel-composites-winners-of-jec-awards-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"NANOTURES &amp; MEL COMPOSITES WINNERS OF JEC 2023 AWARDS"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_3 et_pb_with_background et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_2\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_2 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The members of\u00a0<b>AEMAC<\/b>, among them\u00a0<b>MEL Composites<\/b>, leading Spanish supplier of materials, engineering, and technical support for the advanced composites sector, have participated in the development of a project awarded the\u00a0<b>JEC Innovation Award 2023<\/b>, alongside their long-time collaborator\u00a0<b>Nanotures<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The project, developed in collaboration with industrial partners such as\u00a0<b>Sicomin, Fibertex Nonwovens, Gavazzi, MAP Yachting, Composyst, Saertex, Sky Advanced Materials\/Zoltek, and DIAB<\/b>\u00a0(all of them members of AEMAC), has consisted of the manufacture of structural beams in composite materials for the roof of the new stadium of\u00a0<b>Real Madrid CF<\/b>, whose inauguration is scheduled for the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The beams, made of\u00a0<b>75 meters in length<\/b>\u00a0and sandwich-type configuration, stand out for their high strength-to-weight ratio, which has significantly simplified the lifting and installation processes, as well as reduced the structural weight and energy consumption of the handling and assembly systems.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<b>JEC Innovation Awards<\/b>\u00a0are considered the most prestigious awards internationally in the composite materials industry. In this edition, Nanotures and its partners, including MEL Composites, were recognized in the category of\u00a0<b>Construction and Civil Engineering<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The award was presented at a ceremony held in Paris on March 2, with the presence of\u00a0<b>Bartolom\u00e9 Simonet and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Lozano (Nanotures)<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Eduardo Galofr\u00e9 (MEL Composites)<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Philippe Marcovich (Sicomin)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018\u2019We have been a technical partner and materials supplier of\u00a0<b>Nanotures<\/b>\u00a0for many years, and we are proud that the awards committee has recognized the relevance of this infrastructure project in composite materials.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>At\u00a0<b>MEL Composites<\/b>\u00a0we are committed to accelerating the adoption of composite materials in the architecture and civil engineering sectors.
