{"id":4219,"date":"2017-09-14T08:36:14","date_gmt":"2017-09-14T08:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/melcomposites.es\/?post_type=project&#038;p=4219"},"modified":"2026-04-29T15:52:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T13:52:19","slug":"marine-structures-duque-de-alba","status":"publish","type":"proyecto","link":"https:\/\/melcomposites.es\/en\/project\/marine-structures-duque-de-alba\/","title":{"rendered":"MARINA DUQUE DE ALBA STRUCTURES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">MEL Composites collaborated with\u00a0<b>Carbures<\/b>, specialists in composite materials, in the development of an innovative solution aimed at expanding the operations of a cruise terminal.<\/p>\n<p>The project consisted of the manufacture of large mooring structures type\u00a0<b>Duque de Alba<\/b>, measuring\u00a0<b>13.5 meters in height and 12 meters in diameter<\/b>, for which a high-durability and low-maintenance fiberglass solution was selected, specially designed for highly corrosive marine environments.<\/p>\n<p>MEL Composites supplied key materials for construction, including structural PET foam, epoxy resins, and fiberglass reinforcements, as well as providing technical support in defining and optimizing the infusion strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The use of composite materials significantly reduced manufacturing times and the complexity of the installation process.
